Today, the campaign announced the endorsement of the Cobb County 912 Project.  The Cobb County 912 Project is a grassroots organization comprised of men and women who love their country and who are working to reinforce conservative principles in Georgia based on the 9-12 Project.

Today Doug MacGinnitie, candidate for Secretary of State in 2010, launched the website HelpHeroesVote.com as part of his platform to improve military and overseas voting in Georgia.  The website will help raise awareness about the voting issues that plague our military and provide a means in which Georgians can communicate their ideas, experiences and questions with the campaign.

Doug MacGinnitie won the Muscogee County straw poll last night in Columbus receiving over 66% of the vote. 161 people voted in the race for Secretary of State with 107 voting for Doug.

"It was a real pleasure to have met everyone in Muscogee and I'm honored to have won the poll. Republican Women make up the backbone of the party. With their continued dedication I'm confident Republicans will continue to be the majority in Georgia," said Doug.

Savannah, GA -- At the conclusion of this weekend’s Georgia Republican Convention, the Georgia Young Republicans from every corner of the state gathered for their convention. After listening to both candidates for Secretary of State, they voiced their desire for fresh conservative leadership in a straw poll, choosing Doug MacGinnitie by a 3-to-1 margin over his opponent. 




2010 Candidate Pushing Small Business

THOMASVILLE — Doug MacGinnitie, a 2010 candidate for secretary of state, believes the key to creating jobs during the current recession is a focus on small business.“More than 75 percent of jobs that are created in this kind of recession are created at the small business level,” he said. “If you care about jobs in the state, then you should care about small business.” A Sandy Springs resident, MacGinnitie, 42, was in town Tuesday to meet with local constituents and talk about his goals if elected to the open seat (current seat-holder Karen Handel is running for governor). He was the first Republican to officially file his candidacy in February.
